1. Nature of Public Transit Guidance Service

metro.org.in is an independent journey planning and transit utility tool designed to assist daily commuters, tourists, and students across India.

• Independent Platform: This website is an independent community and transit utility platform. It is not owned by, affiliated with, operated by, or authorized by any government department, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), Indian Railways, or statutory metro corporations (such as DMRC, BMRCL, MMOPL, CMRL, UPMRC, etc.).
• Algorithmic Calculations: All shortest paths, line interchanges, estimated travel times, and fare amounts are computed via graph algorithms based on published tariffs and station matrices.

2. No Commercial Ticketing or Booking Warranty

This website is strictly an informational route calculator. We do not sell passenger tickets, issue smart cards, process QR tokens, or handle transit financial transactions.

Passengers must purchase valid journey tickets or validate smart cards via official AFC gates, operator mobile apps (e.g. DMRC Travel, UTS, Namma Metro App, Mumbai1), or official ticket counters at metro stations.

3. Permitted & Acceptable Use

You agree to use this platform only for lawful, personal, non-commercial route planning purposes. You agree not to:

• Deploy automated bots, scrapers, spiders, or scripts to overload our server infrastructure.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or launch denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against our edge network.
• Misrepresent or mirror the site in a manner that confuses the public regarding government affiliations.

4. Intellectual Property & Trademark Acknowledgment

The design, UI architecture, routing software, and layout of metro.org.in are proprietary intellectual property.

All transit authority names (e.g., Delhi Metro, DMRC, Namma Metro, BMRCL, Mumbai Metro, Maha Metro, Metro Railway Kolkata, Chennai Metro, CMRL, NaMo Bharat, NCRTC), line color names, station names, and operator logos referenced on this site belong exclusively to their respective statutory corporations. Their use on this site is purely for public transit identification, descriptive routing, and informational reference.

5. Limitation of Liability

While we make every effort to maintain 100% accurate station lists, operational lines, and fare tariffs, metro.org.in and its contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from:

• Missed trains, flight delays, appointment cancellations, or unexpected route diversions.
• Unannounced timetable revisions, emergency line closures, or maintenance blocks enacted by transit authorities.
• Discrepancies in dynamic holiday schedules or fare tariff updates.

Commuters are encouraged to follow physical platform signage, station customer care announcements, and official transit authority bulletins.
